I am a Web Developer living in San Francisco...
I can be Anywhere Online
This past summer, I worked for a company that was acquired by a much larger company. Shortly after the acquisition, I decided to pursue a dream of traveling and studying Spanish in Central America. I recently returned to the Bay Area. I am looking for interesting projects where I can work remotely. I am a seasoned Front End Web Developer in the California Bay Area with excellent communication and organizational skills, making me well-suited for working remotely. I have been in the industry for a decade and have a successful history working in nontraditional settings. I have worked for a design firm with no central office, where I had the flexibility to work from my home, cafes, shared office space and other remote locations. The experience showed me that I am just as productive, if not more so, outside a traditional office space, because I have the discipline to work on my own schedule with little oversight. I also know how to communicate large projects across long distances and multiple time zones since I have worked with overseas developers in my past position at a startup. I also have experience leading remote teams.
My ideal position would allow me to work in a nontraditional setting on cutting edge projects. I feel that I can easily adapt to an already existing remote situation or help facilitate such a transition by bringing the necessary communication tools with me, like Github, Skype's Screen Sharing feature, Dropbox, and other apps that make it easy to collaborate without being in the same physical space.
